Our mission
We cooperate to foster a more resilient food system
NIFA connects businesses across the food sector with the knowledge, networks and opportunities they need to grow. Through business intelligence, market development, innovation and skills development, we help companies find the right contacts, tools and resources to strengthen their competitiveness.
Our network brings together more than 100 members from across the food supply chain, from small producers to larger companies. We also work closely with municipalities, Region Värmland, the County Administrative Board, LRF and Karlstad University to create better conditions for innovation, collaboration and a strong food sector.

Partnership with Karlstad University
Our collaboration with Karlstad University focuses on helping the food sector move from a product-centred approach towards more service-oriented and innovative ways of working. The collaboration covers three key areas: service design, interventions and circular business models.
Regional and international development
NIFA has extensive experience in regional, national and international development projects. Over the years, we have led and participated in numerous EU-funded, national and regional initiatives, working with partners to strengthen and develop the food sector.
